6 Factors Help to Choose Between Wheel Conveyors And Roller Conveyors.

In the flexible unpowered conveyor products, wheel conveyor and roller conveyor are good choices. In the actual use, goods within 20kg are the most common. The minimum supporting force of the retractable conveyor can also reach 30kg. Since the bearing force above the minimum bearing force is margin, we have a good reason to believe that the more flexible space-based expandable conveyor is the future trend compared with the fixed platform conveyor.

There are wheel conveyor and roller conveyor in our product line. In order to save your time, we draw a conclusion at first: For goods less than 30kg, wheel conveyor is preferred.

Factor 1: Price. The price of wheel conveyor with the same configuration is about 75% of that of roller conveyor. For most customers, saving money means having more initiative in the operation of the business.

Factor 2: Expansion ratio.  In addition to special customized products, the expansion ratio of wheel conveyor is 1:5, and that of roller conveyor is 1:3. This means that the folding wheel conveyor saves at least 20% of the floor space compared with the roller conveyor in the same cargo connection scenario. Smaller storage space allows customers to make better use of their workplace.

Factor 3: Adaptability to environment. Generally speaking, the wheel conveyor adopts the plastic wheel of European standard. Compared with the metal roller, it is more suitable for use in humid environment without rust. The wheel bearing adopts special process design standard, which can be used in low temperature environment, and can cope with mild frosting or even icing.

Factor 4: Product weight. Because the weight of wheel conveyor is only 50% of roller conveyor, when used, an operator can set up the transport environment well. The lighter weight also reduces the cost of transportation and further saves the purchase cost.

Factor 5: Resistance. The wheel conveyor with ball bearing has small resistance. With small initial reasoning or small inclination, the goods can be transported far away and fast.

Factor 6: Supporting capacity. The wheel conveyor can be customized to bear 70kg goods. But in general, it is recommended to use it for goods less than 50 kg. Because of security issues. Due to the large bearing capacity and resistance of roller conveyor, it is recommended to use roller conveyor to transport large goods, so as to reduce the transmission speed and improve the safety.
